Melissa Meris
When on dry land, Melissa stays busy with her 4 children, ages 8,7,5 and 4! She is an electrical engineer specializing in acoustics and entertainment technology with many clients based in New York City. She loves to scuba dive, whitewater raft, tap dance and ZUMBA. She looks forward to traveling with her kids as they get a bit older. Melissa is extensively trained in neuro-motor learning and nervous system development. She continues her work with young children out of the water as an emotional regulation coach with both private client therapy and in small group classes. Her work includes research and application in the latest neurological science of nervous system development. She is passionate about early childhood development and loves to share her personal positive experience of survival swimming with other families.

Jean Pierre
JP is a life-long advocate for children. Each step he has taken in education and profession has been to further his goal to create educational environments where children thrive. He carries a Masters from StonyBrook University and has taught ages ranging from nursery school through high school. JP specializes in developing curriculums for many types of education. He spent 6 years in China developing programs for international schools. JP puts his passion to work as an elite coach for many sports and is excited to develop new programming for athletes. He loves international cuisines and finds great joy in traveling the world. JP was captivated by the swim programs being developed at Guardian and is excited to bring his skills and unique connection with kids to our program!
